J'étais la lune et le soleil ( I Was the Moon and the Sun )

This work is an invitation to embrace the shadow that dwells within each of us, because light cannot exist without shadow. They are not opposing forces, but complementary aspects of the same reality. Within every human being coexist opposing drives: Eros and Thanatos—the capacity to love and the impulse to destroy. Our nature, full of contradictions, is capable of both extremes: compassion, creativity, and courage on one hand; fear, hatred, selfishness, anger, and indifference on the other. Every day, through both the smallest and the most significant choices we make, we are called to decide which part of ourselves we allow to emerge. Our emotions become thoughts, and our thoughts shape the reality we create.
