Getting started

Set up your studio so people can find and buy your work.

  1. Complete your profile: add a photo, a short bio and your website, then choose whether it is public.
  2. Add your first work from Works, with photos, a description and a price if it is for sale.
  3. Submit the work for review. Once approved it is published on Artfello.
  4. Connect payments in Settings (studio owner) so buyers can pay you directly.

Works and inventory

Create, edit and track your artworks, designs and fashion pieces.

  1. Works lists everything you have created. Open a work to edit its details, photos and optional short video.
  2. Draft works are private. Submit for review to publish; you can request changes or archive a work later.
  3. Inventory shows what is available, reserved or sold. Editions track how many units are sold and reserved.
  4. Collections group works together; Services list what you offer besides finished works.

Sales

See orders from Artfello and record sales made elsewhere.

  1. Orders from your Artfello shop appear in Sales with their payment and fulfilment status.
  2. Record a sale made outside Artfello (a gallery, a fair, a direct sale) so your numbers stay complete.
  3. Insights summarises your sales over time.

Shipping and delivery

Set how sold works are delivered and keep fulfilment clear for buyers.

  1. Set up your shipping profiles before listing works for direct purchase.
  2. Use the right profile for each work so checkout can show the correct delivery options and cost.
  3. After a sale, open the order in Sales to review delivery details and update fulfilment as the work is prepared and sent.
  4. For unusual, oversized or location-sensitive works, use an enquiry-led sale when a fixed shipping method is not appropriate.

Clients

Keep a private record of the people you work with.

  1. Add a client with their name, email and where you met. Notes are private to your studio.
  2. A client's page shows their orders and enquiries when the email matches.
  3. Enquiries from Artfello arrive under Clients → Enquiries. Reply by email, then mark them responded.

Network

Build your creative network of framers, galleries, printers and collaborators.

  1. Search Artfello first. If the person or business is not there, add them privately.
  2. Your notes and the contacts you add are visible only to your studio.
  3. Ask to connect when a business has taken over its profile, to create a confirmed relationship.
  4. Use Message on a contact who has an Artfello account to start a conversation.

Messages

Talk with other studios and businesses on Artfello.

  1. Messages shows your conversations. Unread ones are marked, and the header shows how many.
  2. Conversations belong to your studio, so teammates with access can read and reply; read state is personal.
  3. You can only message organizations that have an Artfello account ready to receive messages.

Projects and opportunities

Commissions you are invited to and requests for quote.

  1. Projects lists the commissions you are part of.
  2. Opportunities lists requests for quote sent to you and points to Artfello exhibitions you can apply to.

Exhibitions

Apply to Artfello exhibitions and follow your applications.

  1. Browse published exhibitions and apply with an optional message.
  2. Withdraw an application while it is still submitted or under review.

Payments

Get paid through Stripe.

  1. Only the studio owner can connect payments, in Settings.
  2. Complete Stripe's onboarding. Charges and payouts show as enabled when it is done.

Team and roles

Invite colleagues with the right level of access.

  1. Only the owner manages the team. Invite by email and choose a role.
  2. Studio manager, Sales, Curator, Marketing, Finance and Viewer each see only the areas that suit them.
  3. An invitation works once, for that email address only.

Membership

Your plan and what it includes.

  1. Membership shows your current plan and benefits. Only the owner can change it.

Insights

Understand how your studio is doing.

  1. Insights summarises views, enquiries and sales for the period you choose.
