This document describes the personal data Artfello's platform actually processes today. It has not yet been reviewed or certified by a lawyer.

1. What we collect

Depending on how you use Artfello, we process:

Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
Creator profile information you choose to make public: bio, statement, location, portfolio images, social links, disciplines.
Purchase information: order history, shipping address where a physical work requires shipping, and payment processing via Stripe (Artfello does not itself store your card details).
Enquiries and briefs you submit, including any message content and contact details you provide.
Basic technical data (IP address, browser) used for security purposes such as rate-limiting login attempts.

2. How we use it

To operate your account, process purchases and membership billing, route enquiries to the right Creator or team, send transactional emails (verification, password reset, order and enquiry notifications), and protect the platform against fraud and abuse.

3. Who we share it with

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. When you purchase a work, the Creator (as merchant of record for that sale) receives the order and shipping information needed to fulfil it. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Cookies

Artfello uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Your rights

You can review and update most of your account and profile information directly from your account settings. To request a copy or deletion of your data, or ask any other privacy question, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

6. Data retention

We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Deleting your account removes your public profile; records tied to a completed order are retained where required for tax and commercial record-keeping.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
