U srpnju 2018. cijelu Hrvatsku obuzeo je delirij kao da je jedan dan pobjede i kraja Domovinskog rata. Upravo su se ljeti sredinom 90-ih ponosni veterani vraćali s bojišta s uzdignutim puškama i hrvatskim zastavama, dok su se 2018. ponosni hrvatski nogometni reprezentativci Svjetskog prvenstva u Moskvi vratili pod hrvatsku zastavu, zagrljeni srebrnom medaljom. Nakon trijumfalnog dočeka kapetana reprezentacije Luke Modrića i njegovih igrača, sljedeći dan moja ruka, vođena emocijama, kistom i bojama, zabilježila je RADOST likujućih građana dok su reprezentativci i njihov otvoreni autobus ulazili u centar grada. Zagreb, glavni grad Hrvatske.
