Summer

Zomer is a painting by Ad van den Boom from the series Trees and Their Stories. Made with hand-painted acrylic on canvas, the work is composed of thousands of individually placed dots that slowly build a stylised summer tree and landscape. The rounded green canopy, set against a deep blue background, gives the painting a calm but powerful presence, while the flowing red, orange and green forms below suggest movement, warmth and growth. Created from the perspective of Crealism, the work is not only about what is seen, but also about how reality takes shape through attention, perception and imagination.
