Biography Angela van Iersel I was born in Udenhout in the south of the Netherlands. This was a small village nearby famous dunes (Loonse en Drunense duinen). This landscape feels for me as a home, and that’s one of the reasons why I am painting landscapes. I have studied in Utrecht for teaching and art and I am a teacher and an artist as well, for more then thirty years. Both gives me inspiration and joy. I walk a lot and every time the landscape is for me an adventure. I paint a feeling from the landscape in colors. I find inspiration in artists as well, like Rothko for the colors and O’Keeffe for her landscapes.
