Brad is an Omaha native and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of NE-Omaha. He has spent time at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and has exhibited his work both locally and nationally, including paintings at the Bemis Center, Petshop Gallery, Split Gallery, Sioux City Art Center, Salina Arts Center, and others. His creative process is fueled by a deep fascination with the human experience and our connection to nature and its surroundings. Brad views humans as being fundamentally a part of nature, sharing evolutionary ancestry, biological needs, and ecological interconnectedness with all life on Earth. His use of gold and copper leaf are a direct metaphor for their inherent, perceived wealth and a subtle counterpoint to the infinitely greater riches nature bestows upon us.
