Statement

My journey into art began as a way of coping with grief, following the loss of my mother at a young age and the subsequent loss of several close family members and friends within a short period. Art became a way for me to process these experiences, explore complex emotions and express things that can be difficult to put into words. Through drawing, I found a creative outlet that allowed me to channel those feelings into something tangible. My work explores the merging of animals, human features and organic forms, blending natural shapes, textures and unexpected connections to create distinctive, imaginative pieces. I’m drawn to the surreal possibilities that emerge when familiar forms are transformed and brought together in unexpected ways. My art explores the connections between life, nature and the human experience, inviting viewers to look beyond the obvious and discover their own interpretations of the work.
