Xuemei Bai is a Canada-based watercolor artist exploring the quiet emotional space between people and nature. Her work often features solitary figures surrounded by flowers, light, and stillness. Through layered washes and a balance of control and fluidity, she creates images that feel both gentle and emotionally resonant. Working intuitively without formal training, she allows sensitivity and observation to guide her compositions. Her recent work moves toward a more simplified and expressive style, where fewer elements create a stronger sense of atmosphere.
