“This work (the sixth in the series) is based on a glorious sea swimming pool built into the rocks at Bude in Cornwall.”

This work (the sixth in the series) is based on a glorious sea swimming pool built into the rocks at Bude in Cornwall. The pool is over 45m long fed by the sea every high tide. As a lifelong swimmer and water polo player, swimming pools have always been wonderful places to me especially if they are outdoors. When I discovered this huge, elemental sea pool at Bude I was thrilled, and I know this pool will inspire me for some time to come. In this painting the pool takes up a large amount of the painting with ripples from a lone swimmer and the pool steps. The painting was built up in layers and an oil pouring technique was also used with a quick drying medium. Framed in a simple white box frame, framed size 64 x 80 cms. This painitng is currently on show at Galleri Soho in Sweden, please contact the gallery direct for shipping costs.
