Catharsis 6 (Valentina)

This work was part of two personal exhibition: "In Enigmata" (Bucharest, 2025) and "Fragments of unstable body" (Bucharest, 2026). "Catharsis 6 (Valentina)" is part of the "Catharsis" series, a collection of eleven paintings dedicated to women who have experienced loss due to global conflicts. It serves as a tribute to those no longer with us, and represents an exploration of the inner strength. The value of the forms is expressed not only through color but through their interpretation, with brushstrokes revealing the feelings, emotions, and energy of the human spirit. The technique of painting combines elements of abstract expressionism, symbolism, surrealism, portraiture and cubism, using oil on canvas to create a rich tapestry of meaning. The shades of brown add depth and warmth, drawing the viewer into the painting's emotional core. The inclusion of the triskelion symbolizes a bridge between the earthly and heavenly realms, representing a holistic connection between the physical and spiritual, as well as the acceptance of pain and the natural cycle of life.
