02 · The story
'Gondolas Reposo' is a vibrantly coloured painting of gondolas at rest in a late afternoon in May. The painting is acrylic on canvas painted with loose, expressive brush strokes detailing the shape and form of the gondolas and the subtle patterns of the soft reflections. A quiet, tranquil scene is captured in contrast to the busy city of Venice. The painting is professionally framed with a white wooden mount and a wide grey bevelled framed.
