A band of slate blue hovers above a field that moves through gray-green into cream and ochre. Warm flecks remain visible within the cooler passages, binding the layers rather than separating them. The surface reads like weather passing over land, though no literal horizon is drawn. Built through dense, impasto, my paintings transform repeated marks into fields of shifting color and light. Individual strokes remain visible within each gradual transition. The resulting surface feels atmospheric from a distance and rich up close.
