Crimson and magenta gather at the top before descending through violet into a pale blue-white base. The repeated marks keep the color in motion, as though the warmer field were dissolving into light. Flecks of blue and green complicate the transition and prevent the surface from settling. Built through dense, impasto, my paintings transform repeated marks into fields of shifting color and light. Individual strokes remain visible within each gradual transition. The resulting surface feels atmospheric from a distance and rich up close.
