Blue-gray fills the upper portion of the canvas and thins into a pale lavender-white base. A muted band of mustard and olive passes between them, softening what might otherwise be a stark division. Repeated strokes make the transition feel gradual, like distance emerging through haze. Built through dense, impasto, my paintings transform repeated marks into fields of shifting color and light. Individual strokes remain visible within each gradual transition. The resulting surface feels atmospheric from a distance and rich up close.
